This guide accompanies the Grade 6 (6 topics, 18 games) and Grade 7 (8 topics, 24 games) science games in this library. Each game is a self-contained HTML file that runs in any modern browser — no internet or installation needed. Every game has a 🖥️ Class Mode button (top-right) that enlarges the interface for a smart board or projector.

How the games are structured. Each topic has exactly 3 games: Game 1 is a single-player discovery/experiment, Game 2 is a single-player classification puzzle (drag-and-drop or tap-and-place), and Game 3 is a collaborative team game (2–3 players) where the goal only succeeds when all players' answers are correct together.

Grade 6 · Topic 1 — Circulatory System (3 games)

🎯 Key ideas

The heart pumps blood; arteries carry blood away from the heart, veins return it; the body has one circulation through the lungs (for oxygen) and one through the body. Blood carries oxygen, nutrients and waste in plasma, red blood cells (carry oxygen), white blood cells (fight infection) and platelets (clotting).

Grade 6 · Topic 2 — Human Diseases (3 games)

🎯 Key ideas

Communicable diseases spread from person to person (pathogens: bacteria, viruses, fungi, protists). Non-communicable diseases (e.g. heart disease, diabetes) are not spread. Defence: skin, white blood cells, antibodies, vaccinations, hygiene, and medicines (antibiotics treat bacteria, not viruses).

Grade 6 · Topic 3 — Material Properties & Change (3 games)

🎯 Key ideas

Materials have properties (hardness, strength, flexibility, waterproof, transparent, conductivity). Some changes are reversible (physical — melting, freezing, dissolving) and some irreversible (chemical — burning, cooking, rusting) where new materials form.

Note: "Physical vs chemical change" is the classic tricky concept — students often call a reversible change "chemical." Ask: did a NEW substance form?

Grade 6 · Topic 4 — Thermal & Electrical Conductors (3 games)

🎯 Key ideas

Conductors (mostly metals) let heat/electrical energy pass easily; insulators (wood, plastic, rubber, glass) do not. A circuit must be complete (a loop) for current to flow; electrical conductors carry current, and switches open/close the circuit.

Grade 6 · Topic 5 — Chemical Reactions (3 games)

🎯 Key ideas

In a chemical reaction, substances change into new substances (often with a fizz, colour change, temperature change, or a new gas/solid). Indicators of a reaction: colour change, gas produced, temperature rise/fall, a new insoluble solid (precipitate). Reactants → products.

Grade 6 · Topic 6 — Rock Cycle (3 games)

🎯 Key ideas

Rocks are igneous (cooled magma), sedimentary (compacted sediment) and metamorphic (changed by heat/pressure). The rock cycle shows how these change into one another over time (weathering, erosion, melting, cooling, pressure).

Grade 6 · Topic 7 — The Human Body Systems (3 games + 1 Journey)

🎯 Key ideas

The human body relies on four major organ systems working in harmony:
Circulatory System: Heart pumps oxygen-rich blood through arteries to body cells, and veins return deoxygenated blood.
Respiratory System: Lungs take in O₂ and expel CO₂; gas exchange occurs across alveoli into capillaries.
Digestive System: Breaks down food into nutrients absorbed through small intestine villi for energy.
Reproductive System: Specialized cells (sperm & egg) combine to produce offspring and continue human life.

Grade 7 · Topic 1 — Cells & Organisms (3 games)

🎯 Key ideas

The cell is the basic unit of life. Organelles and their jobs: nucleus (control/DNA), cell membrane (gateway), cytoplasm (where reactions happen), mitochondria (energy), ribosomes (make proteins). Plant cells also have chloroplasts (photosynthesis), a cell wall and a large vacuole. Levels of organisation: cell → tissue → organ → system → organism.

A balanced diet has carbohydrates (energy), proteins (growth & repair), fats (energy & insulation), vitamins & minerals (health) and fibre & water (digestion & hydration). A growing body needs this balance to develop properly.

Grade 7 · Topic 3 — Structures & Properties of Materials (3 games)

🎯 Key ideas

Materials have properties: strength, hardness, flexibility, thermal/electrical conductivity, waterproof and transparency. These properties decide what a material is best used for (metal = strong & conducts; wood/plastic/rubber = insulators; glass = transparent).

Grade 7 · Topic 4 — Periodic Table (3 games)

🎯 Key ideas

Each element has a symbol (one or two letters), a name and an atomic number (number of protons). The table is arranged in groups (columns) of elements with similar properties: Group 1 alkali metals, Group 17 halogens, Group 18 noble gases, and metals vs non-metals.

Grade 7 · Topic 5 — The pH Scale (3 games)

🎯 Key ideas

The pH scale runs 0–14. Acids are below 7 (lemon juice, vinegar), neutral is 7 (water), bases/alkalis are above 7 (soap, baking soda). Indicators (universal indicator, litmus) change colour to show acidity, and acids + bases neutralise each other.

Grade 7 · Topic 6 — Force & Energy (3 games)

🎯 Key ideas

A force is a push or pull. A bigger force → bigger acceleration; a bigger mass needs more force for the same acceleration. Friction/air resistance slow objects. Energy is stored or transferred: kinetic, potential, chemical, thermal, light, sound, electrical. Newton's third law: every action has an equal and opposite reaction.

Grade 7 · Topic 7 — Sound (Grade 7) (3 games)

🎯 Key ideas

Sound is made by vibration. Pitch depends on frequency (faster vibration = higher pitch); loudness depends on amplitude (bigger vibration = louder). Sound needs a medium — it travels fastest in solids, slowest in gases, and not through a vacuum. Echoes/sonar use reflected sound to locate objects.

Grade 7 · Topic 8 — Earth in Space & the Solar System (3 games)

🎯 Key ideas

The Sun is a star at the centre. The eight planets orbit in order: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars (free space), Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune. Planets nearer the Sun orbit faster. Earth's Moon is a rocky satellite that orbits in ~28 days and reflects sunlight.

Classroom & Inclusion Tips (Grades 6–7)

Set up a smart-board round: Open Game 3 of any topic, press 🖥️ Class Mode, and have the class take turns being each player. It works great as a whole-class review.
Offline note: Everything is self-contained; the only features that need the internet are links out to this guide and the game library hub — the games themselves run fully offline.
